SAN SEBASTIAN INTERNATIONAL CROSS-COUNTRY

The San Sebastián International Cross-Country is one of the most iconic races in the discipline, with a legacy dating back to 1956. Over the years, it has remained a winter classic thanks to its demanding course, impeccable organization, and the participation of many of the most prominent national and international distance runners.

The race takes place every year at the San Sebastián Hippodrome, a unique venue where spectators can follow most of the action from the stands. The course combines flat sections, muddy stretches, and tight turns, demanding both strength and tactical skill from the athletes.

Organized by the Gipuzkoa Athletics Federation, the event brings together runners of all ages, from young talents to elite competitors, strengthening the link between grassroots athletics and top-level competition.
